History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Aust was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Herbalist. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He disdains his fellow easterners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Seebo was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Farmer. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Farmer responsibilities is difficult.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Herbalist arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Akoth was born on a far eastern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Herbalist. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Miner born in the past three hundred years. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Miner for hire.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
