History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Cressel alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: Born in the east to a Butcher, Heian learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Butcher. After a long history of fighting, Heian and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Immeral lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.
