He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Description: This late middle aged man wears baggy black pantaloons and a violet scarf and is in decent physical shape. His crest is scarlet, silky, and of moderate length. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Dilettante. He tends to his Dilettante job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Dilettante responsibilities is difficult.

His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Valafar is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the west. A gifted student he started as a Spy, but he got bored and became a Miller. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Miller for the past few years.

History: Himo was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. A freak accident while working with his Barrister mother left him crippled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: He likes to be helpful to his clients. He likes to prescribe proper advice to his clients. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: He got into the Bather business at a young age. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up work as a Bather and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.
