Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He was born into a rich family. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

History: Born in the south to a Cartwright, Grisha learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and balancing his hectic life and new cartwright responsibilities is difficult
