History: The child of a Roofer, who enjoyed hunting, Korfel was taken on many hunting expeditions. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Roofer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Description: He is a paragon of his species. He is larger and stronger than most Halflings. His skin is light but he possesses many white ritualistic tattoos. He wears well tailored suits and hats with beautiful decoration. He is almost always dressed for an outing in high society. His brown hair is singed and shortened. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady brown eyes.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Ortegar isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Halfling unity. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Ortegar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Halflings became a terror of the countryside.
