Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Gerard never married again. History: Born to a Fortune-teller, his father struggled to pay the bills. Ostracized due to the divine powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Dragonborns became a terror of the countryside. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His childhood dream was to be a Carter, but he was a colossal failure. He's also a talented Carter, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: Oskar wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Aristocrat, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Oskar took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up shield and armor he uses now. He bought a shield and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it
