History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Cressel never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
