History: He got into the Cartwright business at a young age. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Everard's homeland. Everard decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Cartwright for hire.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and balancing his hectic life and new cartwright responsibilities is difficult

Bernard decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with.
