History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Arannis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Through the years after Pallabar was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Pallabar's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He's also a talented Map Maker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and further expansion of business
