Charles took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up sai and armor he uses now. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Oskar alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. After a long history of fighting, Arnold and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

History: Robert lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
