He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting orcs, the young Rael began to lead the lost caravan.
