History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: Paelias lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
