Description: An older man who wears a tattered pair of loose yellow pants, a matching torn shirt, and a visible pair of similar condition same color briefs, he is not a threatening figure. His tied-back hair is golden. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep hazel.

Personality: Kelter speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: A child with a great deal of dancing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Kelter grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Kelter. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Carter and was forced into it by his family.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His first spouse was a Servant, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Detective hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and a strong sense of loyalty to halfling people
