Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Performer arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. Recently the stress of being a Performer has made it difficult for him to sleep.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: Megged was born with his mother's beautiful face. His martial abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: Heian was born the youngest of three triplets. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
