History: The child of a Brewer, who enjoyed hunting, Fax was taken on many hunting expeditions. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Gnomes became a terror of the countryside. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and an old rival family wants him found

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge. His white hair is long and unkept. His eyes are likewise white. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born into a rich family. He found a children's book about a Tiefling Druid who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and he has a crush on the local seamstress

He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Marbas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
