His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Shepherd.

He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Butcher they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Crown-heir, and he later adopted a second daughter.
