History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Frederick decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Roofer for hire.
