His mother taught him the rudiments of the Layabout arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His martial abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
