History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the north. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Shifting took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up morningstar and armor he uses now. He bought a morningstar and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.
