He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Tieflings became a terror of the countryside. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Nirgel was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.
