History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Wrenn and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Aerdeth was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared.
