History: Shamash hails from a village terrorized by drow. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Darrow embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of goblins once and for all.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Naal was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Aristocrat, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Aristocrat in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Elf Aristocrat who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Elven artifacts is his passion.
