History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Dragonborns in the south were limited. He was granted divine powers by his dying brother.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Dragonborn people; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
