Personality: Heward hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Heward lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His first spouse was a Marshal, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Marshal they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Scribe, and he later adopted a second son.

History: Spear was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
