History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting dire rats, the young Howard began to lead the lost caravan. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Thorin isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Dwarven unity. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: Thorin was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Barbarian, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Barbarian in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Dwarven companion (his 'brother'). He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature trident.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He got into the Bellfounder business at a young age. A gifted student he started as a Soapmaker, but he got bored and became a Bellfounder. He tends to his Bellfounder job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Nim was born on a far southern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Miller. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Many brigands want him driven away; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

Personality: He is quiet and unassuming. He ignores others and carries on with his job unassumingly. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: Eberk was born the youngest of three triplets. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac
