Sammal's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Brewer.

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: He was born into a rich family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
