Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Bertram's homeland. Bertram decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He became a Miller soon after.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Sage. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Gnomish companion (his 'brother'). He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Server who has hired him part-time. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Gerald was born the youngest of three triplets. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and doesn't want to be a server and was forced into it by his family

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
