Hobart Thistletop, Male Halfling [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: The light-skinned man stands 3'2" and wears a white vest and prefers green and pastel shirts. His boots appear to have been at one point steel toed but are quite worn down. He wears a broad hat to cover his moderate length black hair. His gray eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.
Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Hobart is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.
History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Hobart took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up greatsword and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and his religion dominates his actions
