He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born in the south to a Bellfounder, Barendd learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. He has worked as a Bellfounder like his mother before him.

Motivation: To be a Detective again; and balancing his hectic life and new bellfounder responsibilities is difficult
