History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Valafar has worked very hard to control his curse. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He got into the Sage business at a young age. Through the years after Grumbar was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east.
