History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. While he appears to be a normal Dragonborn, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Through the years after Oblar was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Oblar's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
