History: The child of a Glassblower, who enjoyed hunting, Darrak was taken on many hunting expeditions. When Darrak reached his early adolescence his Dwarf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born in the west to a Carpenter, Ûshbaka learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Carpenter work with an outfit from a few towns over. Carpenter work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. Being a Carpenter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Mercenary. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Aura lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gifted student he started as a Blacksmith, but he got bored and became a Mercenary. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
