Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. Faran is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Through the years after Tharivol was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Tharivol's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Tharivol and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He was born in a small desert village. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out

History: He was born into a rich family. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He now mingles about in high society.

Description: A man with a calm yet intense air about him, he likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. His hair is chestnut, silky, and of moderate length. His gold eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: The child of a Bellfounder, who enjoyed hunting, Nirgel was taken on many hunting expeditions. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and many dire rats want him driven away
