Personality: He hates giants. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. Ulblyn is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting giants, the young Ulblyn began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and someone believes him a fraud

Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. The war was a terrible time for him, and Shane does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. Shane was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Armorer. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he feels kind of lost in life

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He tends to his Hunter job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
