He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: Born to a Priest, his father struggled to pay the bills. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He's also a talented Priest, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Sark's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Sark and his spouse have recently divorced.
