History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

His mother taught him the rudiments of the Gardener arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Balimaar was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Balimaar's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is mildly Tabaxi supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Barrister business.

History: Nimble lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his youth he was a Carter, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Nimble fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
