History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: A deep hatred of brigands.

History: Born in the east to a Sage, Damien learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural.
