History: Miles lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Gerard abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: Smoking is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. The war was a terrible time for him, and Smoking does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
