Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of illithids may trigger it at times.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: Born to a Locksmith, his mother struggled to pay the bills. When Rurik reached his early adolescence his Dwarf mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Halflings became a terror of the countryside. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
