History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now mingles about in high society.

History: He got into the Body Guard business at a young age. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Bertram was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He's also a talented Priest, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
