He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He is a very happy person and has lots of energy. To put it simply, he's a very lovable idiot. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Born in the east to a Courier, Korfel learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Courier. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Gifted from a young age, Miles studied abroad. Miles was a troubled youth. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Shoemaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has achieved small success as a Shoemaker.
