History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Bellfounder. He struck the Bellfounder job and began his own company from there.

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears a white shirt with thin brown vertical stripes and black pants, and is pretty ugly. His golden hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines green.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Description: He is a physically imposing dark-skinned man. He tends to wear a large pastel jacket. Sporting a brown mohawk and bushy mustache this man's hair draws a lot of attention. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Roofer but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Burgell was born in the south. At a young age he loved to build and create. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Gnomish companion (his 'brother'). He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gifted student he started as a Carpenter, but he got bored and became a Bellfounder. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
