Description: A stocky darker skinned man, he dresses in green turtlenecks beneath a blue coat with violet slacks. His hair is long and silver with streaks of brown, and is pulled back with small green clips. His beard is brown, braided, and well cared for. He has gray eyes and a green hat with a blue feather.
Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Blacksmith who has hired him part-time. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.
History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bertram grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he feels threatened by others

Description: He usually wears his green robe and has his scythe always slung over his shoulder. He has a moderate pudge and is not very fit. His head has been shaved. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.
Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.
History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Description: He is a small man, but exceptionally fit. He tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.
Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.
History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Merihim alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.
Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.
History: Fargas was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Cartwright. He tends to his Cartwright job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and to reunite with his absent mother

Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when he can avoid it. His chestnut hair has been sun bleached extensively. His brown eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.
Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. The war was a terrible time for him, and Broce does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
History: Broce was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
Motivation: Regain custody of his son; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
