Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He likes to wear ponchos typically of a light white in addition to tight pants. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. He has a dull look in his amber eyes.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Sapply took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up flail and armor he uses now. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Gnomish people; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

History: The child of a Sage, who enjoyed hunting, Kerkad was taken on many hunting expeditions. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Kerkad alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

History: Ekemon was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
