He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Umpen was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the brigands.
