History: Flak was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Flak grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Flak. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature mace.

History: Greethen lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
