Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Ashgarn was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
