Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Halflings in Burto's homeland. Burto decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Carpenter arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He takes great joy in being the best Mortician in town.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Mortician for hire.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: Gifted from a young age, Ogthrak studied abroad. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
