During his travels, Kyle and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Kyle discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Kyle fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: Olunt lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
