Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. While he appears to be a normal Gnome, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs

Description: He is a physically imposing light-skinned man. He is dressed in a clean blue cloak covering his clean studded leather. He sports a long auburn beard, and similarly colored long hair. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady gray eyes.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Gilbert is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Gilbert was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

Description: A pudgy man standing about 3'3" has a big stupid grin on his face most of the time. He wears a grey coat over a blue low-cut shirt, and a broad hat upon his head. His hair is long and black with streaks of brown, and is pulled back with small grey clips. His beard is brown, braided, and well cared for. His ears are large.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. His parents enrolled him in a Wizard school at a young age so that he could practice his martial talents. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Guard responsibilities is difficult.

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he has the majority of his body covered in plate. His hair is auburn and very short. His eyes are a pleasant hazel.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: He wears suspenders and green workpants. His shirt is pastel, and he wears a heavy green leather apron most of the time. He is bristling with hidden weapons, mostly glaives and ceremonial daggers. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His eyes are likewise brown. His teeth are white and perfect.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day
